As I stated before, foreign individual (like I from India) is subjected to a 30% tax (that’s a lot) of certain types of income received from US Payers.
Now the fun part is that the W-8BEN form or what we call the Affiliate tax form lets you exempt if you reside in a country with which the US has signed an Income Tax Treaty. This means submission of affiliate tax form will result in an exemption to a 30% tax. Great, right?
This form is valid for 3 full calendar years after the year in which you signed it.

7 steps to fill Bluehost Affiliate Tax Form
Step 1: Click on “this page” anchor text to fill the affiliate tax form.
Step 2: Check the circle prior to “No” to specify that you’re not a US resident
Step 3: Start by filling your name & address information.
Step 4: Leave the mailing address blank if you receive the mails on the same address. Fill it otherwise.
Step 5: Now comes the crucial part. You’ve to fill in the tax information. If you belong to India, leave all the fields black except the one which says “Date of Birth”. Enter your date of birth here.
Step 6: If you belong to India, keep all the fields blank under “Claim of tax treaty benefits”
Step 7: Enter your full name in the signature field & click on bold green “Submit” box.
